Different western management experts have struggled to find out a set of characteristics unique to great leaders and ultimately came to conclusion that leadership qualities changes with time as set of values people associate with motivation constantly get shifted. However if one looks beyond the western concept of self consciousness and concentrate on Indian concept of soul consciousness, maybe we can understand the leadership qualities in a better way. An effort has been made in this article to understand the evolution of eastern leadership qualities through mythology and how it is sustainable with time.
