Life is complex. Everyone, at some point of time, feels helpless or dejected while facing certain issues. Any troubled soul or a distressed person would try to seek help, knowingly or unknowingly. Prince Arjuna, the great epic warrior, sought the help of Lord Krishna, the Almighty, when he faced his relatives as enemies in the battle field of Kurukshetra. Discourse rendered by Lord Krishna to Prince Arjuna is considered a life-saving philosophy that applies to the entire humanity. Cognitive Behavioral Therapy helps patients overcome their problems. It is widely used across the globe, including in India. CBT is, in simple terms, talking therapy. This paper aims at discussing the striking similarities between counseling sessions carries out by the Supreme Lord Krishna to Prince Arjuna akin to the counseling sessions carry out by Cognitive Behavioral Therapists to their patients.
