MANAGEMENT OF LIFE AND PERSONALITY THROUGH INDIAN CULTURE

The paper discusses the concept of ‘Purusharthas’ (Human Values) as propounded by Indian Culture along with in-depth analysis of its effect on the development of life and personality of human beings. The discussion starts with an introduction to the Indian culture particularly the Vedic, Pauranic and Smriti culture and ultimately leads to the concept of ‘Purushartha’. The various types of ‘Purushartha’ and its legitimate method of performance and conduct coupled with the inputs from Bhagavad-Gita and Manusmriti which bring out the role of these in the transformation of an individual in order to attain the ultimate goal of life. ‘Moksha’, has been discussed in this paper.
